| Gerhard RomenGerhard is a Director of Nokia's Corporate Development Office. Gerhard Romen joined NOKIA Corporation in 1999, having spent almost 2 decades in the IT industry and especially the software and solutions sector. At Nokia, Gerhard is focussing on New Business Solutions and has been part of building Nokia´s NFC Solutions since 2003. He is also a representative of Nokia at the NFC Forum and the Vice-Chairman of the NFC Forum's board. Before joining Nokia Gerhard was VP with Borland International, a manufacturer of software development tools, responsible for their EMEA region. Prior to that, he held various senior management positions with client/server and database specialist Sybase and SoftSwitch Inc., a software vendor for Email and EDI switching. Gerhard started his career as a programmer analyst in the applications development environment of Data Organisation Services, a leading German software company. Gerhard studied Economics at Hamburg University. |
