How to get here


Traveling by road

Be careful if you use a GPS navigation system, because there is more than one town called "Hagenberg" in Austria. Select the following address on your navigation system:

Directions

The easiest way to get to Hagenberg is to come from Linz on highway A7, which ends shortly before Hagenberg. Driving from Linz to Hagenberg takes approximately 20 minutes.

...from Vienna
The shortest route from Vienna is on highway A1 West - take the exit for Enns  Mauthausen, and Pregarten (Landesstrasse 123).

...from Salzburg
Take highway A1 East to the Linz junction ("Knoten Linz"), then highway A7 towards Prague.

...from Graz
Take highway A9 to the junction "Voralpenkreuz", change to highway A1 and continue to the Linz junction ("Knoten Linz"), then take highway A7 towards Prague.

...from Germany
Via Munich/Salzburg: Take highway A1 to the Linz junction ("Knoten Linz"), then take highway A7 towards Prague.

Via Passau: Take highway A8 (border crossing point Suben) to the Linz junction ("Knoten Linz"), then take highway A7 towards Prague.


Parking

There are parking spaces for guests directly in front of the main building and in the basement garage (Exit #1). Student parking spaces are located at the north side of the campus (towards Freistadt, Exit #3).

 

 

Shuttel Bus Linz <-> Hagenberg

We have organized a shuttle service for participants from the hotels listed on our website to the congress venue in Hagenberg and vice versa. If you would like to take the shuttle bus, you have to select the appropriate option when registering for the congress. Consider that there is only a limited capacity.

Traveling by train

Hagenberg is close to the Linz-Budweis-Prague rail line. The closest train station is in Pregarten (4 kilometers from Hagenberg). The journey from Linz (Central Railway Station) to Pregarten takes approximately 45 minutes.

Traveling by airplane

The closest aiport is the "Blue Danube Airport" (LNZ) just outside of Linz, with direct flights to London, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich, Graz, Salzburg, Vienna und Zurich. Public transportation to Hagenberg is available (shuttle bus to Linz) as well as taxi services.
