Research Projects

The NFC Research Lab is currently involved in 3 major research projects:

VHD (Very High Datarates):
VHD is a research project, funded by country of Austria withing the FIT-IT program, with focus on the high speed air interface and IC architecture for contactless smartcards and Near Field Communication (NFC).
NEXT (Near field enabled EXperience for Transportation):
The NEXT project, funded by the Province of Upper Austria (Land OÖ) within the general programme, focuses on the field of electronic transportation expenses in public transport based on NFC.
4EMOBILITY (Energy-efficient Economic and Ecological Mobility):
The project 4EMOBILITY is a research project within the EU programme
Regionale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit OÖ 2007–2013 (Regio 13) funded by the European regional development fund (ERDF) and the Province of Upper Austria (Land Oberösterreich).
